Description

This is my first build as well as first flip. I got a used 2060 for £130 + postage on ebay, benchmarked and stress tested it, works as(/better than) new I've put a userbenchmark results screenshot in the photos for anyone interested. All other parts are new. If I do a similar flip again, I'll spend the extra £20 on a 3600 instead of the 4500 as that's better suited for gaming as well as being more popular/well-known with buyers. Also, I'll get an m.2 instead of a 2.5" ssd in future, as it isn't much more expensive and is more of a selling point. My only issue with the building process was the motherboard. As well as not having an rgb header, which didnt really matter, the 3pin fan header was in a very difficult place so I ended up routing the cable behind the gpu to the left of the x16 socket to try and keep it out of sight. But I guess thats what you get if you buy the cheapest am4 board on the market.

Part Reviews

CPU

Does what it needs to. Cheaper than a 3600.

CPU Cooler

Brrr 🥶❄ Whole build had good temps. I always trust Thermalright with air coolers.

Motherboard

Cheapest am4 mobo on the market, not bad for £50. Misses a couple of features like an rgb header, and 3pin header isn't in the best place. You get what you pay for I guess.

Memory

Good aesthetics, cheap enough, works.

Storage

Fast enough, decent boot time, around the same price as gen 3 m.2s, consider those as well.

Video Card

Cheapest RTX card, fortnite kids like it so its good for flipping. Can get for around £120-£140 on ebay.

Case

Good looking, affordable case with pre-installed rgb fans. Only thing is the PCIe slot covers can't be replaced, so as one of mine came slightly bent, I just removed it and it cant be replaced, but nothing major.

Power Supply

Does what it needs to. Ugly cables but thats what extensions are for so it doesn't matter.
