The point isn't terrorism.

Though that's the main focal point whenever Trump talks about it. He says: "This is not about religion—this is about terror and keeping our country safe".

He's making it pretty clear that fear of terrorist attacks and keeping America safe are the main justifications for the ban.

To those saying that this isn't a Muslim ban: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGOwEOTYfuE

Rudy Giuliani admits that Trump asked him to find a legal way to implement a Muslim ban. It isn't being portrayed as a Muslim ban by the Trump administration for obvious reasons but there isn't any doubt that a Muslim ban is the intention. You only need to look at history to see what this kind of prejudice can potentially lead to.

Also not a single American was killed on U.S. soil by citizens from any of the 7 countries listed between 1975 and 2015, according to statistics tallied by the conservative-leaning Cato Institute. However, the same set of statistics show that nearly 3,000 Americans were killed by citizens from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Turkey in the same time period.

The one thing Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Turkey all have in common? Trump’s sprawling business empire holds multi-million dollar licensing and development deals in all of those countries. Is a cynical view that this is all just a populous measure, nothing to do with keeping Americans safe and Trump intentionally didn't include countries where he has vested business interests?

Issue there is that cases have been reported of permanent residents (green-card holders) being denied entry into the US at the border, or being refused to board planes. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed on Saturday morning that it was applying the ban to green-card holders.

In relation to students why has Princeton University and other schools warned students not to leave the country if there is no issue? There are even reports of many students having their visas revoked.

It's not just refugees who are being refused entry. Everyone from those 7 countries regardless of their background, regardless if they have Green Cards etc can no longer enter the US. It is utterly disgraceful and ***** all over the values of tolerance & equality.

I don't think people realise the implications of this or the number of people who have been caught up in it. There are stories of people who can't get home/needing to fork out a lot of money to get home as they've been on holiday and their original flights went via the US, people with Green Cards are being handcuffed, their social media reviewed and they're being asked their views on Trump. There are even utterly stupid things like Iran's Asghar Farhadi will not be able to enter the US to attend the Oscar's (He's nominated for best foreign language film). Hell even Mike Pence was against this measure in December 2015, calling it "offensive and unconstitutional"...

I have lost a lot of respect for the US, and I can't believe that Trump was so much of a **** to sign off on this on Holocaust Remembrance Day. That fact only further highlights that those who do not know history's mistakes are doomed to repeat them. The US truly used to be one of the greatest countries in the world, now I'm ashamed to call it an ally.

In all honesty I'll be surprised if he lasts the four years. He always overreacts when someone tells him "No" or simply disagree with his opinion. I can easily see him ending up in a situation which will lead to him being impeached or being forced to resign.

He's not the sort of person to remain calm under pressure or take criticisms on the chin and that's a dangerous trait to have in a President.

Yeah it's just the game that freezes. I can easily open the task manager, minimise the game etc. Or if I do nothing the game unfreezes itself after about 10-15 seconds.

I don't really have another UBI game to test atm. I know that The Division is a VERY badly coded/optimised game, though I can only find a handful of people with my particular issue where the above solutions have been unsuccessful.

A lot of the scenes that were in the trailers weren't in the movie. Though some of that is explained with them originally filming an ending where Jyn etc survive as they didn't think Disney would allow them to kill off the whole main cast.

The decrease in value of the Pound currency is partly to blame. In order to remain competitive/cost effective prices in many sectors need to be increased here to compensate.

Since we haven't triggered the process to leave the EU yet and we don't know what deals the UK & EU will reach in the negotiations, it may be some time until our currency stabilises.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Anyone else have any sad pc stories?"

I had two laptops before my current PC and both times the motherboard stopped working. Though to be fair for one of them it was my own fault. I forgot to release the static electricity from the system after turning it off and when I opened it up to clean out the dust with just one touch with the screwdriver it caused a spark and that was the motherboard dead...

The other one was a saga. It developed graphics problems and then suddenly stopped working. Luckily for that one I was still under warranty and thus I sent it to be repaired... then the company I bought it from went bust while they were still in possession of my laptop! It actually went as far as for me to apply to the small claims court and threating legal action to get it back. By the time I eventually got it back my warranty had expired and thus it was no longer cost effective to get it repaired.

There is always the risk though that over time government agencies may overstep on what they do with all the information they have gathered. Or even worse the potential for all that private information to fall into the wrong hands.

Recently in the UK one of our ISPs was hacked and private details of around 157,000 of its customers were compromised. If this bill had been law at that time the hacker would have had a gold mine of private information on those people.

I actually really like Black & Red. Despite the fact that it seems to be the most commonly used colour scheme.

I'm not a big fan of LED builds. To me they look cool initially but become annoying/distracting over time. Imo their only purpose is to make your build look flashy to other people and to make pictures of it look cooler.

One branch will be called, The Ministry of Internal Affairs. To be appointed to, The Ministry of Internal Affairs, you must be appointed by the president. The other branch will be called, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To be elected into, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you must be appointed by the President. The President is appointed (By the Last president).

Sounds like a lot of potential for corruption in an almost totalitarian-like regime. If you can only become President by being appointed by the last President how do people with a completely different opinion to the President take office? Would a mutiny be required?

The President shall meet monthly with The Minister of Foreign Affairs. The President shall meet Annually with The Minister of Internal Affairs.

Why are internal affairs considerably less important than foreign affairs?

Honestly in the UK we've been too focused on Brexit and Trump that the elections in other EU countries have barely been mentioned.

Though I gather that right-wing parties (and in some cases far-right parties) stand a good chance in those elections?
