Yeah, I am just trying to verify the CPU is working prior to buying a decent motherboard. I figured I could test it on the OEM one, but my thoughts were it wasn't supported when I got no signal.

Thanks....just hoping 3770k works.

It was a lenovo think centre M91p I believe. It came with i5 2400...the 2400 was working fine, figured I'd try the 3770k to see if it worked in there....powers on, but no signal

So I was able to get Windows 10 working. However, found out this Mobo does not support bootable USB. So had to install via another computer. Then hook up. Also looks like sata ii ports.....so probably hold off on SSD. Thanks for help.

Edited with 3000Mhz Ram and 450 PSU for more cost effective solutions. See updated List...Does that look better for a budget build?

I wanted the case fans specifically for cosmetic appeal. That is where I wanted to spend a little extra. I did get a slightly higher PSU since I wanted a semi modular and that was the lower priced semi modular for 80+ bronze.

So I don't forsee myself needing that much storage. My current computer for last 8+ years has only 365gb storage. I just plan on putting operating system, league of legends and maybe firefox on SSD....unless firefox is dumb to put on that. Also. I am trying to keep the budget under $500-- don't see why this build would need 750 w supply

Thanks for advice, just looking to keep costs down for now and maybe upgrade more storage down the road
