I've built a total of 21 computers and 1 Raspberry Pi. Not all my builds are posted on PCPP and keep in mind a couple (or a few) builds on here may be updated versions or cleaning/updating an old computer.
I'm willing to help others in anyway that I can. I'm ready and able to respond by private message or by email. I'm also perfectly fine with anyone posting questions in my completed builds too.
Most of my purchases come from Amazon and Newegg. Unless I can afford $100~$500 of parts per month. My retail stores don't have a lot of options when it comes to computers. I have no such thing as Microcenter, Fry's etc. that focus on the computer components. However, I'll purchase mouses, keyboards, speakers, and sometimes monitors in a local store if they're a reasonable price or officially a good sale occurs.
If you start posting in people's builds about a PSU is going to explode... please be more informative instead of scaring builders. Don't even spread false rumors about some of the reliable PSUs or what PSUs are intended for. I know I'm no better but I don't intend to scare builders, only to inform. So the point is: there is more to the PSU yet I'm no expert nor have the equipment to test such things.
Check this PSU Review Database. And don't you dare mock any new builder, it's disrespectful. We all made mistakes before in the past so please be understanding.
For searching power wattage requirement amount for powering up a Video Card AKA GPU. Here is a PSU wattage list that recommends it. For AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. Yet, keep it as a grain of salt too.
However, you might be surprised about the wattage recommendations are additional headroom for precaution. If you have a wattage reader, you could have a lot of headroom available. Do get a wattage reader from Amazon or somewhere you know sells them and see for yourself when you turn your computer on. See how much wattage is being used like powering it ON, your favorite games, even when you overclock your CPU and GPU. Just check it out yourself.
- I feel honored by manirelli's comments. It's on my father's build, BowHunter. 09/15/2015
- His first and second statements, I do agree upon. His last statement is far too generous.
Not every featured build needs to be some 10000 dollar watercooled caselabs build. We like to showcase all sorts of machines on the front page. This one is fantastically documented and has great pictures which made it a no-brainer.
You can contact me through email but please ask me first about it through a private message.
I do have a Battlenet, Steam, UPlay and Origin account. If you ever want to team up in a game, let me know by sending me a private message. Otherwise, take care!
