I probably paid too much for this. Also beware: a program called ASUSGPUFanServiceEx.exe (delivered with ASUS GPU Tweak II) MUST be running. Win 10 put out a patch in 1903 that began killing it with a c0000005 code. Word on the street has it that it has to do with one of the Spectre mitigations or similar. Within a few hours of that the machine would power down without warning. Initially I thought it might be CPU overheat since it was running a tad hot for a Threadripper, so I replaced the cooler...Solved the CPU temp issue but still powercrashing intermittantly until I realized that FanService (sounds like an anime term) wasn't updated with the nVidia drivers, and that if it wasn't running the vidcard could eventually thermal out and bring the box down. Apparently the fans default to not running if the software doesn't tell them what speed to run at. Dumb design.

Where do I start? This thing is a beast and destroys any game on max settings. The RTX will be used on games coming out soon like Control and so far, it had been amazing

This thing is a beast! I have it on a Curve OC via Afterburner and it usually runs at 2010MHz with never breaking 60°C.
