Picking a Monitor for GTA5 in this Build

I am currently picking BenQ GW 2255 due to the budget. I wish to have a monitor no more than £100 and ok to run GTA5 with the other parts in the build smoothly on 1080p with 60fps. Any comments?

To actually answer your question, I'd recommend an IPS monitor. For games like counterstrike, a fast refresh rate TN panel is handy, but for a game like GTA, you'll want a beautiful IPS screen to make the colors look better. Below are a few 1080P ones listed:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vn248h

Also worth mentioning is that your system probably has the oomph to run GTA V at 1440P when it comes out. The recommended specs are a GTX 660/HD 7870, so you should be good with a 970 at 1440P, and BenQ has a very good deal on a 1440P IPS monitor with a very fast response time:

It's a lot pricier than the others I listed, but it will be worth it if you are willing to put in the extra money.

Lastly, sorry for the mess in this thread and all the other replies that have nothing to do with the question. It happens sometimes :P

In line with Jacob's poste above, I would personally go with either of the Asus monitors. 5ms response time and still a decent price.

a 1440p IPS panel would be nice, but outside your budget of £100. One would make GTAV pop just a little bit more, but you'd need to come up £50-100 on your budget to get even the basic ones.

Forgot to mention a few things - if you ARE going to get an SSD, don't get a 120GB one, they're considerably slower and less reliable. If you absolutely must go for a Crucial, get an MX100 or M550. I still stand by the fact that Gigabyte motherboards are ****** and the video card is unnecessary. Apart from that, go with it, whatever.

ROG Swift. Always a good choice IMO

He pretty specifically mentioned 1080P, and generally the ROG swift is for the kinds of people who will have an extreme edition CPU and a pair of 980s. Yes, it's cool, but it's also overpriced, and Acer has a 1440P IPS 120Hz G-Sync monitor coming out soon, which will wreck the ROG swift.

That's a very good point. I'm currently putting together a build with 980's in SLI ( http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Marcj92/saved/ytFH99 ) and that would be a monitor I'd be interested in. Do you have any idea as far as price or release date?

Not sure. I just saw it on LTT forums, but probably soon.
