Help with build!

So this is technically my first build, and it's been pretty fun so far, but I ran into a problem. Since this is a build for my mom, there is no GPU, so keep that in mind.

The problem I am having is that whenever I try and screw in the motherboard, I can't get it approved properly. I think that the problem is the cushion on the IO plate, but I don't want to break anything by removing it. The case is a 250D (Corsair) and the motherboard is a Gigabyte H170N-WiFi.

P.S. Gigabyte manuals suck.

Edit: Nevermind, I got it to work.
