Aloha and greetings from Germany,

I’ve been gaming on an Acer V Nitro 15'' 960m Gaming Laptop since July of 2016 so this is a major upgrade. Before that I played on a HP Gaming Laptop with even worse Specs, this is the first time ever I get to experience a self build PC with decent Parts and it is a mindblowing experience. I’m super satisfied.

I also had to make room in my Apartment for the Battlestation, before this I just played on the Kitchentable which was horrible both for my back and me and my GF could not eat and sit there properly.

If you have any questions about any of the hardware or experiences with this build please ask! Selecting Parts and looking for Deals in Germany took me about 2-3 Months since I never build a PC and had to learn so much (also with your help). I already had the Headset and Mouse, everything else is new.

Building took me about 7-8 Hours with some breaks, I had not a single issue building it because I watched tons of videos and guides on how to build a gaming PC.

I have overclocked my CPU to 3.8GHz @1.35 Voltage, RAM to 3200MHz, my Graphics Card to ~2000MHz GPU Clock and ~4500MHz Memory Clock and Monitor to 165Hz.

I want to upgrade my GPU to the new Nvidia Generation once it is released, an EVGA 2080(1180) would be perfect to fit the black&white theme. A man can dream!

How you liking that monitor, i plan to upgrade to a 144hz+ G-Sync + 1440p monitor and that one fits everything im looking for.

It's a great monitor and my first high quality display. I'll never go back under 144hz or 2560x1440 (also g sync is incredible). It will look like absolute **** out of the box but you can fix that easily.

Nvidia Control Panel > Adjust desktop color settings

Select "Use NVIDIA settings"

Brightness 50% Contrast 50% Gamma 0.72 Digital Vibrance 70% Hue 0

Dell S2716DG menu

Brightness 43% Contrast 75%

Set a custom color and play with it, this is what I have.

R 97% G 99% B 96%

This is a good starting point.

Greetings from America! Just wanted to say your build is wonderful. I've been stuck with an old HP "Gaming" Laptop with sad specs as well, so I feel you there. But anyways, great job.

Thank you very much, I'll never go back to a Laptop for Gaming.
