This build started with the GPU. Soon as I saw this little Devil I just had to have it. I didn't really know what I was going to do with it, I just needed it.
My first thought for it was to upgrade a 390x. I have been selling a lot of parts lately and the 390x pricing is just crazy, but this Devil ended up being so large that it wouldn't fit in the 390x case. I really didn't want to do a case swap, so good excuse to build a new PC.
This cooler has mixed reviews, but I got a pretty good deal on it. Got the RGB cooler and 5 RGB fans in a combo from Deep Cool for $140. It's cooling great, max temps 60-65c with the OC. We'll see how it holds up.
Great RAM. Loaded the OC profile and sync up to asus aura right out of the box. Doesn't get any easier.
Great temps with a decent OC. The bios is locked to 1.2v so all I could get for now was 1667 core @ 1.2v and a 925 memory clock @ 1.15v. This card does have 3 bios settings so I will be modding one of them later. Temps while benchmarking averaged 51c with a peak of 62c.
These fans are amazing value. Half the price of other similar fans. They are super quiet. They come with a 4 fan hub, RGB header cable, an RGB controller, and an RGB splitter/extension. My latest build using the captain 240 and these fans has added Deepcool to my list of brands when looking for parts.
