Description

Mostly recycled parts, cost me ~400. It's in need of a graphics card update, as it is MASSIVELY bottlenecked. It can run R6S medium settings 30 fps, counter-strike at 200 max settings, and war thunder at 60 high settings. One problem though, the motherboard's heat sensors are broken! They read 122 degrees celsius (251.6 degrees fahrenheit, AKA VERY HOT!). It is actually 36 degrees celsius, as I used a laser thermal reader.

(sorry for the poor picture quality)

Time for a new motherboard I guess?

i can survive with the broken sensor for the time being, as the motherboard will shut down if it ACTUALLY overheats. I plan on upgrading it soon though, and get a new one with a (hopefully) non-broken sensor.

Also, why a B250 motherboard with that K CPU???

It was cheap, fit the colour scheme I was going for, and I have a friend who had this one and recommended it.

First off, don't comment the same thing twice on one build.

Second, he said that he had mostly recycled parts, so odds are this was what was available for cheap. Its not like you're going to be buying a new 6700k at this point, and it is pretty common to find used low end motherboards from people who need to upgrade, and high end cpus from people who want to upgrade. Also, a 6700k isn't much more used than a 6700 non-k, it makes sense to buy the faster chip.

Nice build! I'm surprised that the FPS is so low on R6 siege, even with a 750 Ti. I heard that game was pretty well optimized.

I'm sure this would also work great with Overwatch and Fortnite if you wanted to play those. Thanks for posting.
