How did you make your fans black? And how did you fit the second noctua fan there? There are ram under and I cannot install second fan in my case.

The black fans are part of Noctua's chromax line. I guess the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black was used for the build, and it comes with black fans. Their position can be adjusted to get more memory clearance.

Noctua releases their Chromax line of fans now that are the same as their brown ones but they are black. I love them! The second fan fits because it is slightly lifted higher than the middle fan. So, if your case has the room you can fit it. I purchased the Corsair LPX ram which are low profile so that helped as well.

Hello Mr. Cowboy, I was curious. After building your rig are you happy with both the I9 & RTX 2080 TI? Would you buy them again?

So far I am extremely happy but I am a little biased because I came from console. So it is a huge upgrade from that. I was trying to make it future proof for at least awhile. So yes I would buy it again!

How are the temps & fan noise with the XC2? I'm having a hard time choosing between a two or three fan design. From what I've read, the three fan designs are a bit quieter, but then the length is getting pretty close to the limits of this case.

I don’t know the exact decibels but it’s not a bother when I’m gaming. It sits around 46-50 degrees Celsius during gaming and about 32-33 idle. I got this one because it was cheaper at the time

I like your build. If you were to do this build over again, what is something you would do differently?

Also, What are the pros and cons about your monitor?

Hmm good question... I honestly can't think of anything I would do differently except maybe add some led strips to light it up better at night lol. But I plan on buying those later. And the monitor has performed amazingly well so far but this graphics card could easily run on a 4k monitor so I would like to upgrade later. The pros: 1440p, 165hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, different cool features like FPS counter, reticle, and timer (most gaming monitors have those nowadays). I am truly amazed at this build's performance so far and I think I will need to use it longer to come up with any gripes that may arise. Sorry if that didn't help much.

Nice build! I'm planning a similar build but with a Fractal Design R6 case. Do you just have the 2 front intake fans and 1 exhaust in the back? Any fans on top or bottom? It doesn't look like it but it does seem like you have the Moduvent open on top?

How is CPU temp with the i9-9900k and NH-D15? Seems fine I guess but is that without OC'ing?

Thanks!

Thank you! I was looking at the R6 but I wanted more airflow so I went with the Meshify. Yes, I have 2 140mm fans for intake and one 120mm for exhaust. I want to add 2 more 120mm on top but I will do that next month when I have the money. The CPU is idle at 33 degrees C and usually at 50 something during load if I recall. I haven't overclocked it yet though.

Very nice! I am starting a very similar build with the same case and cooler, so this is getting me excited. It gives me something to measure against. Where do you get those custom sleeved cables?

I ordered them from Amazon. They are the ones made by Corsair so I knew they would work. Thank you!

Thx. So I competed my build. The glass door on mine slightly touches the right fan? Does yours. I have the same ram. Thx

Mine doesn't touch the glass at all. I made it barely clear the ram though

looks good! I got the same mousepad, keyboard and monitor too. And that's a lot of heatsink in one box.
