Description

So, i use this mainly for gaming and for that purpose... its overkill. It surpasses all my needs in every way playing even DOOM at the medium preset 900p with v-sync enabled.

CPU: this cpu rocks... it basically never hits 100% load and does not at all bottle-neck my 750 ti, Plus from what i can tell is a beast of a overclocker , but the stock fan is loud under load , tho that is no surprise to me.

GPU: this GPU is amazing i wanted it to be better than my PlayStation 4 and from what i can tell there is no comparison, it simply is FAR superior to my playstation, which do not worry im not touching my PS4 anymore at all and am enjoying the world of PC gaming ( :

MOBO: this board has everything i wanted +more. it came with 4 sata cables, and has a absurd amount of USB ports witch i do like, as well as does it have great overclocking potential

RAM: it works perfectly fine and is currently more than what i need

Case: i LOVE this case, its very stunning to look at and the side window is amazing + it has adequate room for cable management

PSU: is way more than what i need, this is due to me wanting to upgrade in the future, the cables are very nice and everything about this PSU is of very high quality ( :

WIFI adapter: works perfectly fine and has no issues what so ever, the Bluetooth works very well i use my PS4 controller on my pc sometimes now and it is amazing

OS: this is the perfect OS and i will NOT be getting windows 10 any time soon.

Storage: 1TB is surprisingly much more than what i need, i have a ton of games from steam and storage is still less than even 25% used, it is also stupidly fast as compared to the hard drives that i am used to

UPDATE 1: New CPU and GPU

CPU: now an AMD FX-8350!!! this CPU is overkill in everything that i do, the stock cooler is loud but i find it to be very bearable, i have it OC'ed to 4.2 GHz and temps are still ok ( :

GPU: OMG. my monitor is only 1050p. this is way faster than the 750 ti. everything is set to max in everything i do there has not been any game that isn't set as high as possible that ive played, absolutely amazing.

the pc was upgraded to be capable of vr, i now use an htc vive with it and everything has worked flawlessly.

Part Reviews

CPU

GREAT!!!!! works amazingly well, can play every game out right now and it is easily overclocked. it does vr very easily .

Motherboard

Great MOBO, works very well and can overclock easily in the bios.

Memory

its RAM and it works, 8 gigs is currently more than i need and allows me to freely have as many programs open as i want.

Storage

very good hard drive, it doesnt make a sound and is very fast, 1TB is more than enough storage for me, even with ~50 steam games and the OS and what not its not even at 25%

Video Card

i have a 1050p monitor... every game runs at max and no less, it also does great in vr titles for my htc vive.

Case

Awesome looking case for sure, i had no issues with cable management even with a semi-modular power supply, and it has a TON of upgrade ability, the fan mounts on the side window do NOT bother me at all it looks no less than amazing and is the perfect case for me and i would assume a LOT of others as well. Definitely recommended.

Power Supply

Works very well and is no less than of the highest quality. definitely a over-kill PSU for most.

Wireless Network Adapter

Great adapter iv'e had no issues and it never has trouble connecting 10 out of 10

and i definitely do like the bluetooth, and use it to connect my PS4 controller occasionaly

I love EVGA's GTX 750 Ti 2GB FTW. Sounds like you are enjoying your games in 900p. Welcome to our community and leaving the console behind is a big step of turning into a computer gamer. Enjoy your computer and thanks for sharing this. +1

Awesome to hear. Aha, thought so. Yes, the older games can definitely handle 1080p for certain. (If some allow it though I'm thinking about Knights of the Old Republic which I cannot get 1080p on that amazing game).

Oh my goodness, you haven't touched that game yet? I hope you like it because it's an awesome classic. When you finish the first one, they have a second game that does allow 1080p which I can confirm my 750 Ti was able to max that easily too. They are old but very fun games in my opinion. (If like stories and making choices with some action).

Those temps seem off... What are you using to record them? Many programs have trouble with AMD temps.

Nice build by the way - I second Eltec's notion of the 750Ti.

Apparently, AMD Overdrive does a better job of reading them, according to this post. https://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=58194

Yes, I used AMD Overdrive for most of my AMD processors. Though I can personally confirm the AM1s cannot use it but most AMD processors can. Positive the FX series should be able to use it.

You're right about the temps. I use AMD Overdrive for most AMD processors that can use it.
