I got tired of a normal looking and average performance pc one day and decided to mix things up alittle. Build went together smoothly and sat nicely on my desk but the longer I looked at it the more I wanted to customize it.
Out went the SP120 fans that came with the case and in came the LL120 which are night and day difference. Next, the GPU was too pretty not to be seen so I vertically mounted it. Something bothered me though, the all white case was now flooded with black parts and cables so something had to be done about that. I modded the vertical GPU mount to make it recessed under the GPU then had it powdercoated to match the case color. The GPU shroad and AIO were next to be whitened; a few hours, and constant worrying that the cat will start playing with my loose screws, later the case started to look the way I envisioned it. Stock cables still haunted me so busted out the spare..spare credit card and got some cable mods to finish the look. For now she sits, gamers equivalent of a aquarium, spending hours watching the fans bounce off the fan curve between 0% and 40% RPM.
On a serious note, my house can get warm so I delidded my 8700k and dropped roughly 16 C at full load.
UPDATE: Finished the water cooling. It had some tight clearances and I had to mod a few things but she’s up and running. Pics coming soon. Uploaded one that I took today
Super easy to overclock, sitting at 5ghz with no issues.
Quiet yet efficient, never lets my CPU near TJ max and looks pretty good while doing so.
Speed keys are ridiculous, wrist pad is hard yet comfortable and the keyboard just feels solid.
